Kids Hub Coffee is on Paris Street in Exeter’s city centre and is a little gem of a place run by the lovely Tuba! It has toys for the kids and highchairs and a changing mat in the loo etc. Pop by for great coffee, sandwiches and cakes (vegan options included).

The Hurrells, Kathy and Dale, are local Exeter parents that can help you save money on all of your shopping and utility bills, leaving you with more money for babysitters and going out!

Jelly Children’s Charity Shop are selling second-hand clothes toys/books & accessories. Jelly has become well known to People in Exeter for it’s  excellent value for money.

Jackanory is a small independent shop in Buller Road, Exeter, selling second hand good quality buggies, buggy boards, children’s toys and much more (keep an eye out on their Facebook page as there is always something new that comes in)

The Thrifty Stork are selling organic children’s clothing brands; Frugi, Maxomorra, Duns, Kite, Pigeon & Villervalla to name a few.

The Baby Room is there to help with cloth nappy, sling and breastfeeding support for all parents within Exeter, and also a part of the Exeter Real Nappy Initiative where you can hire equipment. 

Exeter Children’s Centre supports children from 8 years and under. This organisation can help with mealtime and sleep routines.

Devon Wildlife Trust is one of our favourites when visiting the Quay in Exeter, it’s great for the children to explore the wildlife and they love exploring the bug hotel, and although it is small, it is a great place for the children to explore many of its wildlife in its natural environment. There is free entry but donations are welcome.

St Nicholas Priory is Exeter’s oldest building, exploring 900 Years of Exeter’s history – great for all age groups and especially for families. There is free entry but donations are very welcome for the upkeep of the building

The Daisy Café is a small independent cafe in the heart of Heavitree – it’s best to book in advance if you can as it gets very busy, especially around lunchtime. The cafe also has a small court yard called the Secret Garden, which is great for the summer. Great food, value for money and lovely staff..

Wilko café in the Guildhall shopping centre is located on the top floor. This is one of our favourite places to eat as it’s great value for a meal. They include a children’s menu that serves hot food or the children can choose a kid’s pack, which contains 5 items including sandwiches, fruit , crisps and a drink. There is also a small nappy changing area Please ask for the toilet Key at the counter to access the toilets and baby changing facilities.

Brewer’s Fayre on Honiton Road is a lovely family friendly pub with classic pub food for both adults and children, which is also great value. There is an outdoor play area with play equipment for children under 12 years old and an inside soft-play area. There is a charge for this and needs to be booked in advance.

Exeter Library hosts free events for Children under the age of 5, including Bouncing Rhyme every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 and 11:00. There is no need to book in advance.

Princesshay has baby changing facilities located at St Stephens house, you have to push a button to access the changing area which is located on the left-hand side.

John Lewis has changing facilities located on the top floor, opposite a parent’s room for feeding.

M&S (High Street) has a baby changing area located on the top floor, in the men’s toilets as well the ladies’ toilets, and another situated at the entrance.

M&S (Exe Bridges) also has two changing facilities located near the back of the store, in both the men’s toilets and ladies toilets. 

Guildhall Shopping Centre has an indoor family garden, soft play, nursing & feeding area.

Balloons offers bereavement emotional support for children and their families from the age of 5 years, this can be provided at school or within your own home. This charity can help children deal with death of close relatives or friends and gives them the opportunity for the children to talk to someone outside of the family circle in a safe environment.
